buen camino

“Buen Camino" is the traditional greeting exchanged by pilgrims and those on the towns we pass through. It literally translates to "Good Way" or "Have a good journey."

To me, it feels more like the “aloha” of Northern Spain. It can mean “Good morning”…”Be safe”…”Travel well”…or simply “I see you.”

What had become apparent as we pass the halfway mark on our journey from Loyola to Manresa is that I have actually been on this pilgrimage now for 63 years.  We all have. This trip is just one more leg.

So in the spirit of the moment, let me leave you with two words: Buen Camino.
